Metro rail operations resumed on the Agargaon-Motijheel route at 8.25pm on Wednesday, after nearly 11 hours of suspension due to a technical glitch.
The route would remain operational as per scheduled for the rest of the day, the railway operating authority told reporters.
Before resuming operations, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd had carried out a trial run of a train on the Agargaon-Motijheel tracks.
Operations on the Agargaon-Uttara route remained uninterrupted throughout the day.
The overhead railway network is all set to launch services on Fridays from the day-after-tomorrow, previously declared holiday for the operating staff, and the damaged Kazipara station would also rejoin services on the same day.
