Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have seized Indian goods worth Tk 70 lakh, that were being smuggled into Bangladesh this morning.
BGB recovered the products during a drive conducted in the border areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj districts.
Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman of BGB 48 Battalion confirmed the matter.
He said the products recovered by the BGB team were being imported without paying any duty fees from neighboring country India.
The products include Indian garlic, motorcycles, and betel nuts, he said, adding that necessary actions will be taken in this regard.
