The Islamic Foundation has called on authorities to ensure that Jumma (Friday) prayers are held at the same time—1:30 pm—in all mosques across the country.
In a press release issued Sunday, the Foundation underscored the spiritual importance of Friday, describing it as a weekly Eid and a day of communal unity.
Currently, Jumma prayers are held at varying times in different mosques, ranging from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM, causing confusion, especially for travelers and pedestrians.
To eliminate this inconsistency and facilitate greater convenience for worshippers, the Foundation urged coordinated efforts at the divisional and district levels to implement the unified timing.
