A Dhaka court today granted a seven-day remand for Shafi Muddaser Khan Jyoti, son of former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, in connection with an attempted murder case filed at the Dhanmondi Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam passed the order as police produced Jyoti before the court and pleaded to place him on a seven-day remand in the case.

Jyoti was arrested from the Uttara area on September 14, 2024, in relation to the case.
