Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus returned to Dhaka this evening, concluding his brief visit to the UAE, where he attended the World Governments Summit (WGS) and participated in various side events in Dubai. 

An Emirates Airways commercial flight carrying Prof. Yunus and his entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 5:00 PM today.

During his two-day visit, Prof. Yunus met with UAE ministers, including Health Minister Abdul Rahman bin Mohamed Al Owais and Trade Minister Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. 

The discussions focused on issues like the lifting of visa restrictions on Bangladeshi nationals, expanding trade, and strengthening cooperation in sports and education.

The Chief Adviser also engaged with the Bangladeshi expatriate community in Dubai and participated in an interactive session at the WGS, moderated by CNN's Becky Anderson. 

UAE Sports Minister Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi bid him farewell at Dubai International Airport earlier today.

Prof. Yunus was accompanied by Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, Special Envoy Lutfey Siddiqi, and Senior Secretary Lamiya Morshed during his visit.
