The holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of forgiveness, was observed across the country with deep religious devotion and fervour.
To mark the occasion, the Islamic Foundation (IF) organized various programs at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
As part of the initiative, religious sermons (Waz), special prayers, doa-mahfils, recitations from the Holy Quran, and Hamd-Naat were held at the mosque.
Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain, Adviser to the Religious Affairs Ministry, delivered an Islamic sermon at Baitul Mukarram on Friday evening (Feb 14) emphasizing the significance of Shab-e-Barat.
Besides, religious sermons centering the Shab-e-Barat were delivered at various mosques after Maghrib prayers alongside holding special munajat after Esha prayers in the country.
On this day, a huge number of devotees visit the nearest graveyards and offer special doa and munajat seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of their near and dear ones.
People also distribute money, food, and sweets among the destitute.
