Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a midnight raid on a multi-storey building in Mymensingh city, arresting four suspected members of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa).
Authorities reportedly seized a significant amount of money during the operation.
The arrests took place around 2:45 am on Sunday (March 16) at a flat on the 10th floor of the Garden City building at Notun Bazar intersection.
According to residents of the building, the detainees included two men and two women, along with two children. They had been residing in the flat for several days under false identities.
When journalists attempted to speak with RAB officials leading the raid, they declined to comment. The detainees were swiftly taken away in a vehicle as the raiding team departed the scene.
Earlier, at approximately 1:45 am, a large number of RAB personnel took positions outside the Garden City building before storming the flat.
Witnesses said that the law enforcement officers forced entry into the residence as part of the operation.
Details regarding specific items seized during the raid remain unclear, Banglanews correspondent reports.
