SUNAMGANJ: Three persons, including a woman and her daughter, were killed in a road accident in Dharon Bazar area on Sunamganj-Sylhet highway on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Altafunnesa, wife of Babul Mia of Chhatak upazila, her daughter Sumena Akhter, 4 and Riaz Uddin, 7, son of Gias Uddin of the same area.

The accident took place around 8:30am as a recklessly-driven private car ran over the pedestrians while they were crossing the road in the area, leaving them dead on the spot.

Joykol highway police outpost SI Nazrul confirmed the matter to banglanews.
