Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander G. Khozin met BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the party chairperson’s Gulshan office on Sunday (May 4) morning to discuss various aspects of bilateral cooperation.

BNP leaders Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Shama Obaid also attended the hour-long meeting, which covered topics including trade, investment, energy, elections, and cultural exchange.

After the meeting, Amir Khasru said Russia expressed strong interest in investing in Bangladesh, especially in the trade sector, and also inquired about the timing of the next national elections.
