Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Dinajpur.

In the first incident two motorcycle riders were killed after being hit by a mini truck in the early Tuesday (June 17).

The accident happened around 6:30am at Rajarampur Dangapara area under Fulbari upazila, police said.

The deceased were identified as Saju Islam, 32, son of Anarul Islam, and Motaleb, 33, both from Rampur Jagannathpur area in Kaharol upazila.

Quoting locals, Fulbari Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rezwan said the two victims were heading to Dhaka from Dinajpur by motorcycle when the truck hit them, leaving them dead on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies and took necessary steps following the incident, the SI added.

On the other hand, a truck driver was killed in a head-on collision between two trucks at Bhadoria-Bajitpur bridge point in Nawabganj upazila around 1:00am on Monday.

The victim, identified as Alam Mia, 28, was the son of Haidar Ali from Chandipur Pradhanpara area in Parbatipur upazila.

Nawabganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Matin confirmed the matter.
