ASHULIA, DHAKA: At least 30 people were injured in a head-on-collision between a bus of Dhaka University and a truck on Dhaka-Aricha Highway at Nayarhat in Ashulia industrial area Friday morning.

Witness said the Manikganj-bound picnic bus carrying Dhaka University students collided head-on with a truck on the highway, leaving 30 people injured.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Ashulia Police Station Sub-Inspector Mitu Nadal said the injured were sent to nearby Gonoshasthaya Medical College and others clinics.

Police seized the truck, but the driver managed to escape the scene.

Processes are underway to file a case in this connection, the SI added.
