CHANDPUR: A Presiding Officer, appointed at Shahrasti upazila of the district for the fourth phase of upazila polls, has been withdrawn from his duty over allegation rules violation.

The withdrawn presiding officer is identified as Delwar Hossain.

Executive Magistrate also Deputy Commissioner (Land) ASA Mainuddin passed the withdrawal order taking the allegation bought against him into cognizance for his alleged involvement in unruliness activities.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), also Assistant Returning Officer ATM Kawchhar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
