DHAKA: Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) Iftekharuzzaman categorically said that all Zilla Parisads were made worthless for political influence.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a press conference of TIB at Biam auditorium in capital on Wednesday noon.

The TIB executive director said that the activities of Zilla Parisad became divided into two parts with two powerful groups.  

Meanwhile, Iftekharuzzaman gave importance on the equitable distribution of work of Zilla Parisad Chairman and Deputy Director, corruption prevention and good governance.

TIP Research and Policy Department Deputy Program Manager Nahid Sharmin presented the summery of the main report.

With TIP Trusty Board Member M Hafizuddin Khan in the chair, Deputy Executive Director Dr Sumaiya Khair and Policy Department Director Rafiqul Hasan were present among others in the conference.
