BANDARBAN: Miscreants kidnapped three people including a officer of Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) from Bango Doba area of Naikhongchhari upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The captives are Jitendra Marman, 48, a cashier of BKB’s Biashari branch, M Selim, 42, while another’s identity could not be known.

Police camp In-Charges, M Firoz at Eidgar and Anisur Rhaman at Baishari separately told banglanews, “The victims were coming to Eidgar Bazar from Baishari by a passenger mini bus of C Line Paribahan. On arrival at Bango Doba area at 12:30am, miscreants intercepted the vehicles and abducted them.”

Confirming the matter to banglanews, district superintendent of police Debdas Bhattacharja said, “Police began recue operation in the area since the incident.”
