MANIKGANJ: A truck driver and his assistant were killed in a road accident at Singair bus stand on Sunday night.

Details of the deceased could not be known till filing the report.

Locals said a Dhaka-bound jute-laden truck turned turtle and fell into a roadside ditch at Singair bus stand around 10:00pm as its driver lost his control over the steering, leaving the driver and helper dead on the spot. 

Singair Police Station officer-in-charge Liakat Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.
