DHAKA: A construction worker was electrocuted in Islambagh Eidgahmath area of Old Dhaka of the city on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sajeeb, 30, who resided in Ali Ghat of the city’s Chawk Bazar area.

Coworkers Faruk and Shaid told banglanews, “Sajeeb came to contact to a live electric wire while working at a six-storied under construction building in the area in the morning.”

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at 9:45am where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

DMCH police camp In-Charge Mojammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
