DHAKA: Police detained Garments Sramik Okkya Federation chairman Moshrefa Mishu and Joint-secretary of Garment Workers Trade Union Jolly Tatukder from in front of the Tuba factory in city’s Badda area on Thursday.

The leaders were detained from the area around 1:45 pm.

Earlier, law enforcers evicted Mishu and Jolly along with the workers who were on fast-to-death from the factory charging baton and opened fire to take the situation under control.
