MANIKGANJ: Two people were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Kelia Bridge area at Dhamrai upazila on Thursday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

Local sources said a passenger bus of Janoseba Paribahan fell down in the roadside ditch after its driver lost control over steering in the area around 6:00pm, leaving two people dead on the spot and others 10 injured.

The injured were taken to the local hospitals.

Sub-inspector Abdur Rashid of Dhamrai Thana said police recovered a body and took the police station.

Other body was taken by the relatives of the deceased.
