COX’S BAZAR: A school teacher was killed and five members of his family sustained bullet injuries as miscreants opened fire in Digarpankhali area of Chakaria municipal early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Narayan Das, 33, son of Profulla Ranjan Das. 

Sources said that miscreants entered into the victim’s home around 3:30am and opened fire aiming Nayaran and his family, leaving six people injured. 

Later, they were rushed to Chakaria Health Complex and critically injured Narayan Das was shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead. 

Chakaria Thana Officer-in-Charge Provas Chandra Dhar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
