COX’S BAZAR: Police and Coast Guard personnel in separate drive detained 13 fortune seekers along with three brokers from Bashkhali River and Nazirartek area in the district on Tuesday morning.
The detained brokers are- Arif, 30, son of Yakub Ali, Humaiyun Kabir, 28, son of Abu Taher and Ferdous Mia, 30, son of Amir Hossain.
Confirming the Matter, Nuniar Chhara of Cox’s Bazar Coast Guard Station In-Charge Shahidul Islam said that acting on a tip off the law enforcers detained them from the area around 9:00am.
The detainees will be handed over to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Thana, he added.
