DHAKA: Kala Babu, prime accused of sensational Moghbazar triple murder, killed in gunfight with DB police in capital early Monday at Wireless Gate area of the capital.
Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Ramna Thana Moshiur Rahman said two cohorts were also arrested.
Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman said, “Kala Babu and his gang was preparing for mugging. On information DB police rushed there. Sensing our presence, they started firing at us.”
“We also opened fire that left Kala Babu injured. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead,” the SI added.
A foreign piston and seven rounds bullets were recovered from spot and 2 cops also sustained injuries.
On August 28, Kala Babu and his gang shot dead three persons in Wireless gate area.
