DHAKA: Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader visited assured to give compensation to the victim’s family members who were killed in a road accident on Banpara-Hatikumrul road at Baraigram upazila in Natore.

Baraigram Circle Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mahfuzzaman Ashraf and Dharabarisha Union Chairman Abdul Matin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

ASP Mahfuzzaman Ashraf said that the minister rushed to the spot around 12:30am and declared Tk One Lakh compensation for families of each deceased. 

Meanwhile, Obaidul Quader assured the proper treatment of injured people. 

Later, the minister left the spot for Dhaka around 1:30am. 

Earlier on Monday, at least 33 people were killed and 40 others injured as two passenger buses collided head-on on Banpara-Hatikumrul road at Baraigram upazila in Natore.
