SATKHIRA: A District Court issued an arrest warrant against Abdul Latif Siddique, recently removed as minister for posts, telecommunications and information technology, for hurting religious sentiment.

Judge of Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Nitai Chandra Saha issued the arrest warrant on Wednesday around 12:00pm with the case filed by Bangabandhu Smrity Sangsad Central General Secretary SM Badsha.

However, a total of six cases have been filed in Dhaka court against the former minister for his derogatory remarks on Hajj and Tablighi Jamaat.

The court summoned the accused for all of the cases.
