Passenger held with gold at Shahjalal

DHAKA: Customs official detained a passenger with 1.1kg gold worth about Tk 55 lakh from Shahjalal International Airport Monday.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, deputy director of Customs Mustafizur Ragman said, the detainee, Abdur Rahim, came from Dubai on Emirates flight at 11:00am.

The aforesaid gold was found in his luggage after searching on suspicion in green channel, he added.
