JESSORE: Four people, including a JUST student, were killed and 10 others injured as a truck smashed a human hauler in Pultadanga area on Jessore-Chougachha road on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Abu Hanif, 25, student of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Khadiza Begum, 50, wife of Habibur Rahman, Anisur Rahman, 22, son of Ruhul Amin of Chan Dhapra village under Chaugachha upazila, Khairul Alam, 37, son of Khidir Ali of Fulsara village of the upazila.

However, Khairul Alam was under treatment in Jessore Sadar Hospital who succumbed to his injuries around 5:30pm.

Sub-Inspector of Jessore Kotwali Thana Miraj Mosaddek confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Aggrieved students of JUST barricaded the Jessore-Chougachha road on Friday following a road accident and vandalized several vehicles.
