DHAKA: Four siblings received burn injuries on Tuesday noon as a fire broke out from spirit at Painadi village in Siddhirganj upazila of the district.

The victims are Khadiza Akhter, 7, and Mim Akhter, 5, daughters of Abdur Rahman and Niaz Rahman, 5 and Miraz Rahman, 3, son of Mizanur Rahman of Natun Mahalla area of the village.

They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in city.

Sources told banglanews that the incident took place around 1:00pm. The kids, at that time, were playing in the yard of their house.

According to the sources, a carpenter was working with a bottle of spirit that came in contact with the flame of a candle.
