KISHOREGANJ: Law enforcers recovered a hanging body of a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) candidate at Bhairab upazila in the district Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Rima Akhter, 16, student of Bhairab KB Pilot High School, and daughter of one Rahmat Ali, hailed from Guchhamara village under Shimulkandi union of the upazila.

Quoting family sources, Bhairab Thana Officer-in-Charge Abu Taher told banglanews family members found her hanging body in her room around 12:00 noon.

They rushed her to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared her dead, he added.

He further said that they found a note that said none was responsible for the death.

“We will check whether the note was written by her,” he added.

Rima’s family filed an UD (unnatural death) case, he added.
