6 fake currency makers held in city

DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of police detained six members of fake currency makers from various areas of Mirpur in city early Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muntasirul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said DB members also seized fake currency worth Tk 1.20-crore and equipment used to make the currencies.

Details will be disclosed in a press briefing at DMP Media Center around 11:30am, he added.
