Malaysia not worried about Bangladesh security

DHAKA: Malaysian high commissioner in Bangladesh Norlin Binti Othman commented that her country is not worried about the security issue in Bangladesh.

She made this comment at a press conference at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in city on Tuesday afternoon.

Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the conference on the occasion of upcoming 4-day Showcase Malaysia-2015, to be organized by in city from October 15 to 18.

The high commissioner said that Malaysia did not issue any travel warning for her nationals in Bangladesh.

‘We are moving here freely. We are not worried about security issue in Bangladesh.’

Malaysian businesspeople and people of other professional groups are coming to Bangladesh to join the Malaysia showcase, she added.

Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, Malaysia South-South Association, Bangladesh Board of Investment and Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority will jointly arrange the showcase.
