CHITTAGONG: A month-long 'International Women's SME Expo Bangladesh-2015' will kick-off at Pologround premises in port city from Sunday (October 25).
The fair will remain open from 10:00am to 10:00pm every day.
Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI) will organize the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) exposition to promote market for products made by women entrepreneurs as well as build up relations between consumers and entrepreneurs.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will inaugurate the fair on Sunday afternoon, the fair organizing committee president Rekha Alam Chowdhury said at a press conference on Thursday.
Besides, state minister for land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Chittagong City Corporation mayor AJM Nasir Uddin and FBCCI president Abdul Matlub Ahmad will be special guests at the inaugural ceremony.
Entrepreneurs from different countries including Iran, Pakistan, India and Thailand will take part in the international event.
Rekha Alam also said ‘SME Banking Match-Making Fair’ will also be arranged on the expo premises in cooperation with Bangladesh Bank to make a bridge between women entrepreneurs and banks, which are providing SME programs.
