COX’S BAZAR: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina instructed Bangladesh Army to construct 695 kilometers road along the border of three hill districts, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader says.

Obaidul Quader said “In next 12 years, Bangladesh will construct 695 kilometer-long road along the border of Khagrachhari, Bandarban and Rangamati districts at a cost of Tk3,302 crore.”

The marine drive, along the world's longest unbroken natural sea beach, is expected to be completed within next one or two years, he added.
Bangladesh Army’s ECB-16 has implemented the project with the government financing.

Army’s SWDO brigadier general Abdul Wahab, project officer major Mahbubur Rahman Khan were also present the program.
