SYLHET: Rivals shot dead two in Companyganj Upazila of Sylhet district Saturday afternoon to occupy wetland in the area.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Khaleq (50) and Sheikh Farid (48).

Companyganj Police Station officer-in-charge (OC, investigation) said that two groups locked into clashes centering the occupation of a piece of wetland.

Moreover, rivals took away the body of Sheikh Farid, he added.

We have recovered the body of Abdul Khaleq and trying to recover Farid’s, the OC added.
