PM reaches The Netherlands

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached The Netherlands on Tuesday night on a three-day official visit at the invitation of her Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte.

The premier and her entourage members landed at Amsterdam-Schiphol International Airport (AMS) in the Netherlands around 8:30pm (local time). 

Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Environment Melanie Schultz van Haegen, Bangladesh Ambassador to the Netherlands Sheikh Muhammad Belal and Dutch Ambassador in Dhaka Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaera welcomed the Prime Minister at the airport.

According to Foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali, the visiting PM will hold bilateral meetings and sign several accords.

She will also meet Dutch queen Máxima and deliver speech in a seminar of businesspeople, Mahmood Ali said.

Issues including the construction of deep seaport, RMG, land acclamation in sea and rivers, shipbuilding, water management and education will be on the table of discussions, the FM added.
