21 Bangladeshis held in Benapole

JESSORE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 21 Bangladeshis, including 12 women and two children, from Benapole as they were returning home from India illegally on Tuesday night.

The detainees -- 12 female, seven male and two children -- hail from Khulna, Satkhira, Narail and Barisal.

BGB-23 battalion Daulatpur BGB camp Subedar Abdul Jalil told banglanews that BGB members detained the trespassers from Gatipara mango garden in Benapole. But no trafficker could be arrested.

The detainees were handed over to Benapole Port Thana and will be sent to Jessore court

Case is being filed against them for illegal trespass, to Benapole Port Thana SI Sujit told banglanews.
