MYMENSINGH: At least two people were killed and another injured in a road accident on Mymensigh-Kishoreganj highway at Charpuliamari area in the district Thursday morning.

Of the deceased, one was identified as freedom fighter Kutub Uddin, 60, hailed from Hossainpur of Kishoreganj.

7 Char Nilakshiya Union Parishad member Anisuzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said a truck knocked a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured critically.

Of the injured, one succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital, he added.

The Kotowali Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Kamrul Islam, however, confirmed the death of one person.
