DHAKA: At least five people, including a woman, were killed in road accidents at different places in city on Thursday.
Earlier in the morning, a pedestrian identified as Shimul (20) died as a passenger bus hit him on Kalshi road in Mirpur.
Pallabi Thana sub-inspector (SI) Mainul Kabir told banglanews.
Dhaka railway thana assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Rashed Rana told banglanews that one Mizanur Rahman (40), a vegetable trader, was crushed under the wheels of a train in city’s Khilkhet area this morning.
Moreover, Darussalam Thana sub-inspector (SI) Masud Mia told banglanews said that an unidentified woman died as a vehicle rammed into her while she was crossing the Mazar Road early in the morning.
Another SI of the thana Mahesh Singh said that a rickshaw-puller Ali Ashraf died as a car hit him in front of Darussalam Tower this morning.
Besides, railway thana SI Zahidul Islam told banglanews that they recovered the body an unidentified man from Malibagh rail gate area early in the morning.
