DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned all sorts of rallies, demonstrations and meetings near Jatiya Sangsad and its adjacent areas.

A press release signed by DMP commissioner Mohammad Asaduzzaman Mia said on Saturday.

According to the release, the ban has been imposed as the 8th session of 10th National parliament will begin on November 8.

Moreover, no one will be allowed to carry firearms, explosives, and other harmful and toxic materials from November 7 midnight.

The ban will be imposed from Mohakhali rail crossing to Bangla Motor intersection, from Shyamali intersection to Dhanmondi 16 (Old 27) intersection, from Rokeya Sarani intersection to Bijoy Sarani intersection and Manik Mia Avenue and its adjacent areas.

The ban will continue till the end of the JS session.
