10th JS goes into 8th session Sunday

DHAKA: The 10th Jatiya Sangsad will go into its eighth session on Sunday (November 8).

Prior to the session to be commenced at 4:30pm, a meeting of the business advisory committee will be held to fix its duration and businesses.

President Abdul Hamid on Thursday convened the parliament session by exercising his power bestowed upon him under article 72 (1) of the Constitution.

Parliament secretariat sources said the session will run in whole November. The parliament will go into winter session in January next year, said sources concerned.
  
Ongoing situation of the country will be discussed in the session.

Besides, as per rules of business, following the death of a sitting member of the parliament, chief whip will place and condolence motion. After discussion on the motion, it has to be accepted in the parliament.

Social Welfare Misniter Syed Mohsin Ali died between the end of seventh session and the beginning of eighth session.

Earlier, the seventh session of the 10th parliament ended on September 18, commencing from September 1.
