DHAKA: The government has appointed former education secretary Mohammad Sadiq as the chairman of Public Service Commission (PSC).
Public administration ministry issued an order in this regard on Monday (April 25).
Sadiq, also a PSC member, will replace Ekram Ahmed, whose tenure as the PSC chairman expired on April 13.
Earlier on September 18, Sadiq went to his Leave Preparatory to Retirement (LPR) while discharging his duties as education secretary.
On October 27, 2014, he was made a member of the commission.
Born in Sunamganj district in September in 1955, Sadiq entered Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) cadre service in 1982.
