RAJSHAHI: Justice Mujammel Hossain Saturday said lawyers should uphold moral and ethical values to build up people’s trust in the judiciary.

The Supreme Court judge made the comment at a seminar titled ‘Applying ADR in and quick disposal of criminal cases in Bangladesh.’ The Law Commission organized the seminar at Zafar Imam Tennis Complex here.

“People are losing faith in the judicial system. The lawyers should uphold their moral and ethical values for rebuilding the trust,” said Justice Hossain.

Veteran politician Dr. Kamal Hossain and Bangladesh Law Commission Chairman Justice Abdur Rashid Mia, among others, participated in the seminar.

The speakers stressed the need for activating the Bar Council and Bar Associations in all districts.
