BAGERHAT: Bangladesh Coast Guard in a nightlong drive detained three robbers with firearms, rounds of bullets from Sundarbans.

The detainees are Amir Ali, 32, Jabbar, 30, Shahjhan, 26, members of Jahangir Bahini.

Confirming the matter,  Mongla Coast Guard west zone Lt commander Mohiuddin Mazumder told banglanews, “A team of Coast Guard conducted drive from 2:00 pm Tuesday to 5:00am Wednesday in Kateshwar and Kolabaria cannel areas of Sundarbans and picked up three robbers and rescued the abducted fishermen.”

The law enforcers also recovered three single-barrel pistols, two light guns, two one shooter gun, four lethal weapons and 107 rounds of bullets.
