SHARIATPUR: The law enforcement agency arrested a local Jamaat-e-Islam Ameer with bombs in the district.

He was arrested from in front of Charsundi Nurani Madrasha under Rodrakar Union on Thursday night.

The detainee is- Dr Maulana Habibur Rahman, Rodrakar Union Jamaat Ameer.

Sources said acting on a tip-off police rushed to the spot and held Habibur Rahman with bombs from his possession while others Jamaat-Shibir activists fled from the scene.

Palong Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Kashem confirmed the matter to banglanews.
