DHAKA: A Dhaka court Tuesday fixed September 5 for hearing on a bail petition of domestic help Sumi, who was held in case of killing SB Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his Swapna Rahman.

Earlier in the morning, Sumi’s lawyer Syed Nazmul Huda filed the petition with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.

Judge Bikash Kumar Shaha fixed the date for hearing.

Sumi has been kept at Gazipur adolescent development centre.

But, Oishee Rahman, daughter of slain SB Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman, was shifted to central jail from Gazipur adolescent development centre on Saturday.

On August 16, Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman, 48, and his wife Swapna Rahman, 40, were found dead at their Chamelibagh apartment. They were killed on August 14.

The bodies were found in Oishee’s bathroom and they bore several stab wounds, police said earlier.

Oishee left their house with her seven-year-old brother Ohidur Rahman and domestic help Sumi, 10, and left the house boarding on a CNG-run auto-rickshaw the following day.
