DHAKA: Miscreants attempted to kill an activist of Ganajagaran Mancha at Paribagh over bridge in the city on Friday night.
    
The victim was identified as Arif Noor an activist of Ganajagaran Mancha.

Quoting witnesses, Ganajagaran Mancha convener Dr Imran H Sarker told banglanews, “Five miscreants got down from a microbus and started to chop Noor at around 11:00pm while he was coming Shahbagh from a friend’s home of Paribagh, leaving him critically injured.”

Later, locals admitted him to Health and Hope Medical and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Imran H Sarker claimed miscreants attacked Ganajagaran Mancha activists Lucky Akhter and Shammi Akhter in the same place and same way.

He demanded arrest and punishment of miscreants.
