DHAKA: The authorities of Bangladesh Railway (BR) will introduce nine special trains to ease the sufferings of the homebound passengers during the Eid-ul-Azha, one of the biggest festivals of the Muslims.
Apart from this, additional coaches will be added to intercity, mail and express trains ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
Railway Minister M Mujibul Haq made the disclosure at a press conference at Rail Bhaban in the city on Tuesday.
He told the journalists that advance tickets for the homebound passengers would be sold from October 2 to October 6.
The tickets for traveling on October 11 to 15 would sold be available on October 2 to 6 while the tickets for October 18 to 22 on October 9 to 13.
The minister also said the BR has taken huge preparations to ensure safe journey for the homebound passengers during the Eid.
