Four Bangladeshi nationals were killed in the deadly explosion in Lebanon's capital Beirut.

Besides, about 80 Bangladeshis, including 21 members of Bangladesh Navy, were also injured in the explosion.

Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut confirmed the death of four Bangladeshis citing hospital source while the ISPR confirmed the injuries of the Bangladesh Navy members.

The deceased were identified as Mehdi Hasan Roni, hailed from Brahmanbaria, Mizan from Madaripur, Rezaul from Cumilla and Rasel Miah from Brahmanbaria.

Earlier on August 4, a powerful blast in port warehouses near central Beirut storing highly explosive material killed over 100 people, injured nearly 4,000 and sent seismic shockwaves that shattered windows, smashed masonry and shook the ground across the Lebanese capital.
