Bashundhara Group distributes relief among 6000 families in Rupganj 

Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest business conglomerate, distributed relief items among 6000 distressed families in three areas of Rupganj in Narayanganj district on Saturday.

Under the guidance and financial support of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the relief was disbursed in Rupganj union, Daudpur Union and Kanchan Municipality areas.

As part of corporate social responsibility, Bashundhara Group has stood by the poor and destitute during the critical situation caused by Covid-19 pandemic.

Daudpur Union
Bashundhara Group distributed food items among two thousand helpless people of Daudpur Union. Each gift packet contains foods for a whole family to run at least one month.

Daudpur Union Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam Jahangir, Bangladesh Hawkers League Joint Secretary Kamal Hossain Komol, District BCL Organizing Secretary Ashiqul Islam Khokon, Panel Chairman Abdur Razzak, Aynal Hossain and Monir Hossain were present on the occasion.

Rupganj Union

Bashundhara Group later distributed food items to 2,000 more poor and helpless people in Rupganj Union. Each gift packet contains foods for a whole family to run at least one month.

The people of the area expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir after receiving the food assistance. 

Rupganj Union Chairman Salauddin Bhuiyan, former Central BCL vice-president Hafizur Rahman Sajib, former Upazila BCL president Masum Chowdhury Apu and former district BCL vice-president Moniruzzaman Monir were present at the occasion.

Kanchan Municipality

The country’s largest business conglomerate also distributed food items to 2,000 more poor and helpless people in Kanchan Municipality. Each gift packet contains foods for a whole family to run at least one month.

Mayor of Kanchan Municipality Rafiqul Islam Rafiq and Managing Director of Inspire Group Tariqul Islam Mughal were present there.

According to them, Bashundhara Group is ahead of others in standing by the helpless people. Distributing relief among poor and destitute amid Covid-19 pandemic by this company is an act of great virtue, they said.

Hailing countrywide relief operation by Bashundhara Group, the people who received relief items, wished gradual expansion and development of the corporate house in the future.
