The High Court today (Nov 29) stayed till January 3 the lower court directive that upheld an injunction order asking GM Quader to refrain from party activities. 

The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Abdul Awal passed the order on Tuesday following a revision petition filed by Quader challenging the lower court order.

Earlier on October 31, a Dhaka court refrained GM Quader from performing any party activities regarding his party.

Judge Masudul Haque of Dhaka Joint District Judge Court gave the order on October 31. 

GM Quader was made chairman of Jatiya Party on April 6 of 2019.
