Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday night arrested former member of parliament for Gopalganj-1 and minister of civil aviation and tourism, Lt. Col. (Retd) Faruk Khan.

He was arrested from the Cantonment area of the capital. 

Later that night, he was handed over to the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. 

DB Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallik confirmed the matter.

He said Faruk Khan was arrested from his residence in the Cantonment. 

Faruk Khan has been accused of several cases related to casualties in the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
