Two people were arrested for allegedly raping two girls in Rangamati of Chattogram.

The arrestees are Rubel Chakma, 26, and Rased Chakma. 

According to police, on December 25, the victims were raped during biggest religious festival of Christians in Balukhali Union of Rangamati Sadar Upazila. 

Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Zahedul Islam confirmed the matter.

He said, Niharu Chakma of the victim's family filed a complaint against four people as the plaintiff on December 26.

Of the four, Rubel and Rasel were arrested, soon others will be brought under law, the official added.
